(en) The word VELD is a dutch translation for the word field. The term refers to the new designs by Atelier Leda: a playful, graphic interplay of lines inspired by the landscape of the lowlands: a place in nature where agricultural machines leave a trail of rhythmic lines. Leda translated this image into a composition of bright colors and different knitting structures, produced in a knitting factory in Belgium. The field-related theme is also linked to the size of the plaids: with a size of 180x240 cm, you can drape the plaid over a double bed, creating a large field of colours. Leda has not yet let go of her love for red and blue colors, but for this new series of textile objects she adds a bright viridian green to the color palette.

(nl) De naam VELD refereert naar de nieuwe ontwerpen van Atelier Leda: een speels, grafisch lijnenspel geïnspireerd op het landschap: een plaats in de natuur waar landbouwmachines een spoor van ritmische lijnen achterlaten. Leda vertaalde dit beeld naar een compositie van heldere kleuren en verschillende breistructuren, geproduceerd in een breifabriek in België. De term VELD is ook een knipoog naar het grootte van de plaids: met een afmeting van maar liefst 180x240 cm kan je de plaid over een dubbel bed draperen en ontstaat er zo een groot, kleurrijk gebied. Haar liefde voor rode en blauwe kleuren heeft Leda nog niet losgelaten, maar voor deze nieuwe reeks textielobjecten voegt ze een fel viridiaans groen aan het kleurenpalet toe. De kussens en plaids zijn beschikbaar in 5 verschillende kleurencombinaties en bestaan uit 100% katoen. Bij de tapijten heb je keuze uit 2 kleurencombinaties die worden getuft met wol & tencel.
